DSM and Quickbooks – ERRORS ERROR:  OLE IDispatch Exception code 0 from ?: An Exception occurred!       Type: UTFDataFormatException, Message:invalid byte 2 () of a 2-byte       sequence.SAXParseException: error at line 84429, column 13 XML       data... (although it could read different lines & columns, it’s still the same error.)

Fix:  This error is extremely uncommon and typically revolves around a quickbooks company file that is damaged. 

 

You can attempt to fix the damage first by using the options in quickbooks.  They are found under File > Utilities > Verify Data.   (could differ depending on your version however.)

 

Once the utility has finished, you might see a report such as the one below.  There is no reference on the report to the error or line number you saw in the Error.

 

 

 

Once the data was checked in Quickbooks, attempt the operation again in DSM.   If it completes, then you should have no problem.

 

IF IT DOES NOT complete, you will want to get a hold of Quickbooks to get assistance.
