DSM MOBILE LOCATION BLOCKED ERROR

When DSM mobile is registered on a new device it will provide a prompt about location services.  If “ALLOW” is not chosen upon registration then the website may be blocked in your browser and/or device settings.  If you are getting a location blocked error you will need to make sure that location services are allowed for both your browser and www.dsmmobile.com.  The instructions below can help you remove the DSM Mobile location block from your device and allow you to re-register DSMMobile.com it so that location services are allowed.

Checking location services are allowed (general example)

In some devices there are 2 places to check and see if location permissions are allowed.  Below is an example for an Android Tablet using Chrome:

1.  The device must allow your browser to use location services. Depending on the device these may be found at  Settings>Location>App Permissions – be  sure Chrome is allowed.

2. In addition you need to make sure that the site www.dsmmobile.com is “Specifically Allowed” in the Chrome settings and not blocked. You can open Chrome and click on the 3 dots that appear in the upper right. Select Settings>Location and make sure www.dsmmobile.com is not blocked.   If you unblock (remove it from the blocked list) www.dsmmobile.com you will need to re-register DSM Mobile to use it.

Re-Registering DSM Mobile (General)

To re-register DSM Mobile you will need to clear it’s data from your device.  This does not mean you need to clear all cache, cookies and data for all sites.  Often you can clear data for only dsmmobile.com thru your Chrome or browser settings.  Below are 2 examples of how to clear the site data.

IMPORTANT! When registering initially or re-registering after unblocking location, be sure to click ALLOW Location Tracking when it pops up as that is the only way Chrome will add it to be specifically allowed.

Clearing site data -  example for a Samsung S10:  From the … (3 dots) in the upper corner of a Chrome window select Setting> Site Settings>Data Stored  (and select dsmmobile.com from the list and then click the button [Clear and Reset].

Clearing site data - example for a Windows computer:  The path may be:  Settings>Privacy and Security>Site Settings>View Permissions and data stored across sites Find the dsmmobile.com site in the list then click on the 3 dots to the right of it and select [Clear Data]
